In the yard today:

Blue Jays

Female Red-Winged Blackbird (only the second of the season)

Chipping Sparrows

Red-Winged Blackbirds

Grackles

American Goldfinch coming into their bright yellow plumage

The male House Finch with his bright springtime colours

Downy Woodpeckers

White-breasted Nuthatch

Chickadee

Mourning Doves

This bald-headed Chipping Sparrow was at the feeder too. I wonder if he's molting or if he was in a territorial fight with another bird or if he had some sort of close call? He looks a bit puffed up, which could be from the cold or he could be sick/hurt.
